Glimpse of my Weekend

FRIDAY:
  • Jar and I did grocery shopping and ran errands in town




  • We got a package of goodies in the mail





  • I got everything prepped and ready for the week in the fridge


  • I got a new book from the Library


  • I watched the birds as they played around in this bush


  • Cam worked from 5-9
  • We had pizza for dinner
  • When Cam got home from work, we watched Girl Meets World, Last Man Standing, and Shark Tank
SATURDAY:
  • Michael cleaned the sink drains, the bath fans, and the ceiling fans
  • We finished grooming Lily


  • Cam did some college work while he watched Star Wars animated TV show


  • The boys all headed out to run some errands







  • I hung up a cute Christmas sign...my first Christmas decoration to go up this year



  • While the boys were gone, I swept and mopped the hardwood floors


  • I also picked out some Christmas card choices


  • I watched a really good documentary about George H. W. Bush...it was so good (I did not realize how accomplished he is)
  • We had pasta and garlic bread for dinner
  • The boys watched 3 episodes of Doctor Who
More Doctor Who, 50 years anniversary coming in 2013! Love me some Who!:


SUNDAY:
  • We went to Sunday School and church
  • We took our Christmas photos


  • We had ham and cheese sandwiches for lunch
  • We relaxed all afternoon
  • Cam did a lot of college work
  • Boys drove to youth group...Jar played some fun games (he played 'Animals' and 'I've never ever...' He accidentally heard the last one wrong and stood up for having been married - ha ha ha)
  • When the boys came home from youth group, they had snacks and watched an episode of Doctor Who

New Food Finds

I found some good new foods the last few weeks.

We had a beautiful sunrise the other morning...


I got a few new books at the Library...


I made a faux eggnog drink (almond milk, dates, and nutmeg). It was sooooo good!


Jar finished his Harry Potter drawing...

  • I am thankful...for the wonderful things that happened to Cam this week

  • I am making...a list of food that I need to buy and make for Thanksgiving week
  • I am cooking...some brown rice and orange chicken
  • I am looking...at Lily all snuggled up next to me
  • I am playing...brain games on my phone
  • I am enjoying...The Voice with the boys
  • I am waiting...to see what happens with Cam and who he likes
  • I am liking...that we will have family night tomorrow night
  • I am wondering...what I should make for next week's dinners
  • I am noticing...that I have not been craving sugar lately
  • I am buying...a new entry table; I bought Michael a new oversized recliner
  • I am reading...not much of anything lately
  • I am hoping...that Cam will get his birthday off from work
  • I am looking forward to...the month of December (I love Christmas)
  • I am learning...that I have not been eating enough food
  • I am pondering...the beautiful nature God has created
  • I am eating...broth with rice, beans, olive oil, nutritional yeast, coconut aminos, and herbs
  • I am drinking...lots and lots of water
  • I am feeling...tired from exercising
  • I am watching...The Kelly file
  • I am enjoying...having long talks with Cam
  • I am praying for...Cam and Jar to be leaders
  • I am working on...getting the kitchen counters all cleaned
  • I am needing...to keep exercising every day. I love how I feel afterwards.
  • I am trying...to keep up with the cleaning of the house
  • I am discovering...that when Jar sets his mind to something, he follows through (he has had no sugar for 2 weeks now)
  • I am starting...to get in the Christmas spirit
  • I am listening to...Podcasts
  • I am annoyed that...it is so much work to lose weight
  • I am anxious about...the boys and careers for them
  • I am excited about...Christmas next month
  • The world needs...more loving families
  • I believe...in being honest
  • I am wanting...to get a blogging schedule put in place
  • I am remembering...Dad's last days here on earth (his 2nd anniversary of death is this month)
  • I am laughing/giggling...at Jar (he is always just so goofy)
  • I am designing...my dining room and living room in my head
  • I am ordering...Christmas gifts
  • I am celebrating...that Cam has been working for 4 months now
  • I am tasting...Middlesworth BBQ potato chips and Tastykakes
  • I see...a bird fly into the sliding glass door
  • I hear...an owl on the movie (I love the sound of owls)
  • I should...try to start sleeping upstairs again (I just sleep so good downstairs)
  • I start...getting more organized with my schedule
  • I despise...dusting
  • I am NOT...looking forward to doing lots of laundry tomorrow
  • It's been a big challenge...to eat more food
  • I know it's a little weird, but...I don't like peanut butter all that much
  • I'll be one happy camper if...I can get rid of this dry cough
  • I love the fact that...tomorrow night we have family night

  • Outside my window...it is dark and cold
  • In the kitchen...I see counters that need to be cleaned
  • Around the house...I need to clean up the college room
  • One of my favorite things is...reading a book that you cannot put down
  • Today...I had to cut Jar's hair
  • Tomorrow...the boys and I have to run errands in town

Glimpse of my Weekend

It was a great weekend. We had a chance to relax a little bit, but we also got some projects done.

Friday:
  • We met Grandma at Panera Bread



  • We went by some furniture stores





  • Cam worked from 12-9
  • Michael and Jar had Parmesan and butter pasta with grilled chicken
  • I did 8 loads of laundry
  • I made roast beef--and because of this did not get to bed until 12:30
Saturday:
  • We all slept until 9:00 a.m.
  • The boys had bagels and cream cheese for breakfast
  • I vacuumed the house
  • Jar had a list of things to do: clean desk, submit paper, and workout

  • Cam did college work
  • Michael checked out the cars and played with Zena
  • We had meat and swiss cheese sandwiches with onion rings for lunch...they were delicious
  • I made pasta with garlic bread for dinner
  • We all rested in the evening
Sunday:
  • We went to Sunday School and church
  • Cam had something wonderful happen to him at church
  • We rested in the afternoon
  • Cam did some college work
  • I cut Lily's hair

  • Cam worked from 5-9
  • I watched a Christmas movie

  • Jar had Youth Group...where he played Speed Volleyball and preschool games (this is where everyone learned that he could jump really high).
