Church was great. Mom came with us. Our favorite group led the worship music. I got a corsage at church for Mother's Day.
I made sure to get some pictures of this Mother's Day.
When we came home from church, we ate lunch. I was smart and made a chicken/broccoli casserole yesterday, so that all we had to do was to heat it up. We also had Mock Eclair dessert.
After the movie, the boys washed and vacuumed Mom's car for her for Mother's Day. She really appreciated that.
I took a photo of the boys and Grandma.
They also cut down some branches on the tree in the front yard.
I gave Mom her gift. I bought her a sewing machine necklace. It was to remember all of her sewing she did for us when we were growing up.
My mom got these strawberries from Kelly for Mother's Day.
The boys then gave me their cards and the scarf that they bought me.
It was a great Mother's Day. Thank you boys for the special things that you did. Thank you for making me a mother...I love you two so much. I have loved being your mother.
Here are some memories from two past Mother's Days.
It was a good Mother's Day, and we boys had fun giving our time and gifts. Loved the food, and the older pictures sure bring back a lot of memories....makes me sad that they'll be out of the house in a few years.
ReplyDeleteI had been sick since Friday so I stayed home on Mother's Day! WOW! Was that ever different. Nish & Larry just came back from their cruise that morning and invited me over, but...
ReplyDeleteIsn't that what we do as parents, raise our children to leave our homes then they come visit so we can be proud of them & their accomplishments:) Anyway, it is part of the process. Sadly, we all seem to have to go through this phase. Just remember when we (your dad, Mike, & I) had to leave you at PCC:( Sad times but it had to be!)
Oh well, life goes on to another chapter.
