Five on Friday

Well, this week has been a more quiet week...thankfully. We began the week on Sunday with Cam's recital, and then it was just chores and organizing around the house the rest of the week.

Here is what our week looked like:

{O N E}:
Cam had his spring piano recital on Sunday. This was a big deal, because this was his last year of piano lessons. He was pretty pumped...and so were we.

{T W O}:
We are really trying to watch our money, and this week it was about clearing out all of our food. It has been really hard trying to come up with meals to fix when there is nothing there with which to work. I ate a lot of ground turkey this week.

{T H R E E}:
I did a lot of organizing this week. I know that I just did this back in March, but I felt like I just really wanted to hit it even harder. I plan to do more next week. I really want to tackle the kitchen--trying to create more room to put things that I have put in hard to reach places.

{F O U R}:
Today is work on the car day. The boys are trying to pull the engine out of the comet. I hope for them that it does not take too long. It would be nice to have a relaxing evening. I am making a chicken/bean/sweet potato salad mix to hold us over through the weekend.

{F I V E}:
For the past 3 weeks I have been doing killer workouts. I feel so good, and every time I do them, I am feeling much stronger.

May Box

I really enjoyed this month's Birchbox. I really loved the tea, the lip balm, and the serum.

Lily's Favorite Spot

Lily has her favorite spots in the house:
  1. On top of a pile of pillows
  2. Right beside your leg on the couch
  3. On top of our blankets
  4. On top of the couch back
  5. On top of the couch arm
But, her favorite place of all is on our lap. She looks so happy sitting here with Jar.

Building a Computer

Cam loves technology...a lot. He has always wanted to build his own computer. He has been saving money for a while, so yesterday he got it from Amazon. He was sick for 2 days waiting for it to get here. He was like a little kid at Christmas when it got here. He had so much fun putting it together. Hey, and it worked, so that is a good thing.

Last Piano Recital

This past Sunday Cam had his last piano recital. He was very excited to end this chapter in his life. He loves piano, but he was ready to just focus more on piano music that HE wanted to play and not what the teacher wanted him to play.

We are so thankful for his piano teacher that he had for the past 5 years. She has been amazing! He has grown so much since having her as a teacher.

Cam won some awards...
     1) completing Syllabus with distinction
     2) completing Syllabus Level 10
     3) outstanding musician

We are so proud of him.

We celebrated by stopping at McDonald's for ice cream cones. Grandma and Barry came to the recital, so they met us at McDonald's as well.
