Michael's least favorite foods

Michael's least favorite foods are:
  1. tuna noodle casserole
  2. grilled cheese and tomato soup
  3. any soup
  4. pot pie
  5. smoothies
Tuna noodle casserole . 6 oz. egg noodles (wide or extra wide), cooked*1 small can of tuna, drained and flaked with a fork1 can cream of mushroom soup½ cup milk1 cup frozen peas, cooked½ cup (or more) grated sharp cheddar cheese1 cup fresh bread crumbs cooked in 1 T. butter

Grilled Cheese Sandwich and Tomato Soup; we just make our own sandwiches and use Progresso tomato basil soup. :-) -T

This is the ultimate homemade chicken pot pie recipe. The ingredients and the process are simple. Follow them and you will get one of the tastier pies ever.

When we were first married, I made tuna noodle casserole all of the time. My mom made it all of the time when I was growing up. I always loved it. It was a long time before I realized that Michael hated tuna noodle casserole...he does not like cooked tuna at all. Oops!

For some reason Michael does not like grilled cheese and tomato soup. The boys and I love it; although I have not had it in a long time. The best tomato soup is the fresh one called tomato bisque.

Actually, Michael does not like soup at all. I could literally have soup and a salad every single day. He eats it, but kind of makes faces as he does it.

Michael's least favorite food, besides tuna noodle casserole, is pot pie. I would also sometimes make this when we were first married, and he would choke it down. I loved pot pie a lot!

Michael is not a smoothie person at all...he would much rather chew his food. I made a green smoothie one time that not one of us could get down. I think we ordered pizza that night. (the smoothie was made of all veggies...pretty disgusting!)

Things I Love

1)   2)   3)   4)   5)

1) lake houses

I have always wanted to own a house on the lake. I think this would be so much fun. Although I love small coastal towns a lot, the ocean water is just really rough on houses. I would not want to upkeep that. I would love to own a small cabin on the water and have a Pontoon boat and jet skis. That would be fun!! For now, we will just rent, so we don't have to upkeep it ourselves.

2) summer BBQ food

There is nothing better than summer food: watermelon, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, grilled chicken and steak, corn on the cob, strawberry spinach salad, pasta salad, ice cream, grilled veggies. Yummo! My mouth is watering.

3)  flower gardens

I have always loved gardening. I used to have lots of flower gardens in Pennsylvania. I don't do quite as much here, but I still love to have spring and summer blooming flowers. It is just so peaceful.

4) summer nights

Summer nights are the best. The sounds of the frogs in the retention pond and the crickets chirping are just beautiful music to my ears. I love to hear lawn mowers running and smell grills cooking some delicious meat. I love to play games in the back yard or even have a campfire in the fire pit. I want to spend more time in the back yard this summer.

5) backyard patios

To be able to do the above mentioned you need a great backyard patio. We don't have the best one, but at least we have one to enjoy. We also have the fire pit to go with it. I especially love to have my devotions and read and journal out on the back patio in the morning or afternoon.

Downtown Portland

The boys spent the day in downtown Portland with cousins. Here are the photos in no order:

They walked all through downtown Portland. These are the places they stopped and spent some time in while they were there:

  • City Home (home decor store)

  • Stumptown Coffee

  • random photos downtown
  • Buffalo Exchange
Buffalo Exchange 1036 W Burnside St, Portland, OR 97209 I found it interesting that each neon sign is a different color and it contrasts to the logo that is just mostly black and white. With mannequins displaying there outfits in their large windows presents an open and welcoming feel to the whole store.
