Taking Glimpses: Life Lately

I cannot believe that September is almost over already. It seems like just yesterday we celebrated Jar's birthday and our anniversary and the 1st day of September...and here we are almost in October. Slow down please!!!

We have been very very busy trying to get house projects done around here. We did not get a chance to do house projects this summer because of selling the camper and Cam's car (and all the work that went into getting them ready to sell and then selling them) and then doing work on Jar's jeep. It was a crazy summer. So, now we are trying to rush and get a lot of stuff done. We are almost there, but there really still is a fair amount to do.

Here is what has been happening around here lately:

...I sent this photo to Cam as a reminder of a cool outfit for him to remember to wear

...listening to music in the truck while waiting for Jar to get off work

...rainy season has begun

...the boys went to Best Buy to look at computer monitors (then they came home and placed an order on Amazon)

...I was getting Mom's stuff all ready for Goodwill, and I came across this turkey. WOW! This brings back a lot of memories. Mom always had candy in this sitting on the hutch in our dining room (candy corn, miniature Reese's cups, miniature candy bars, rolos, M & M's, and I'm sure a few others). I almost kept it because of the memories, but I knew I had no place to keep it. So, I took a picture to always be able to remember.

...I also took a picture of Dad's Bible (I thought this was neat to see how used it was)

...Michael and I got all of the yard furniture and grill put away for the winter

...Jar did a little bit of drawing

...Cam got his second monitor set up as well

...Megyn Kelly started her new show. I love it...very uplifting like Kathie Lee and Hoda

...there was rot on the trim of the side door, so Michael began working on replacing the trim around the door

...Michael painted the gutters. It just makes to house look all new again

...I picked up Michael and I fish tacos last night for dinner just as the sun was setting

...I got some books at the Library (it is hard to believe that this is the stage that Michael and I are coming to in the not so distant future...very tough to handle. Michael and I so love being with the boys)

...Jar did not have a lot of stuff to do at work yesterday, so he really organized the apples

...Jar doing a really long hard workout (Michael Phelps here I come)

Other happenings around here lately:

I did some Christmas shopping
Cam trained a new girl at work
Michael and I got new phones (me-the Samsung Galaxy Note 8; Michael-the Samsung Galaxy S8) I got a free 360 camera with mine)
Michael and I had a birthday lunch date at Red Lobster (Michael had all-you-can-eat shrimp and a Caesar salad; I had a side house salad and wood fired grilled shrimp, wood fired grilled chicken, and broccoli)
