I cannot believe that we are halfway through September already...it just started. I am sad because September is my favorite month. Here is what has been going on around here lately.
...Michael brought home some fresh garden tomatoes from someone at work...they were unbelievable.
...the boys monthly stash of protein bars
...two new product finds
...Michael and I had Red Robin for dinner (I used my free birthday burger coupon). I had a lettuce wrap burger. It was delicious.
...Dutch Bros. iced coffee
...Jar and I stopped at Mom's house to pick up bags to take to Goodwill. Here are some photos of her garden.
...our vehicle full of Goodwill bags
...what Jar picked up for lunch for himself and Cam (from Trader Joe's)
...new Trader Joe's product finds
...picked up my birthday flowers at Trader Joe's
...the bags to go to Goodwill
...I was watching some vlogs and watched a couple that took their vacation in Positano, Italy (so beautiful!)
...end of the summer flowers
...Michael finished painting the trim on Jar's jeep
...Michael and I loved the tires on this jeep
...we got Baja Fresh on Sunday after church. I got a shrimp salad.
...iced coffee
...I found a dime when I dropped off a load to Goodwill
...I cleaned out my nightstand drawer (I love the Strawberry Shortcake doll and the Garfield clip-on (Garfield was my favorite when I was a teenager)...and the homemade cassette tapes that I made for Michael when we were dating. My garter from our wedding is in there as well. And...of course, this is my favorite photo of Michael of all time. I love the photo of Jar peeking up at the top. The picture in the pinkish frame is one of my favorite ones of Michael and I. It is of us on the long bridge in Pensacola. We were on our way to see the Blue Angels on Pensacola Beach. Our friend Bryan Kincaid took this photo of us while were were stuck in traffic on the bridge.)
...Cam washed his car (all of our vehicles are a mess from all the ash from the forest fires around Oregon)
...I made the boys pumpkin coffee and pumpkin scones for breakfast
...Michael was not able to feed Zena this morning, so I had Cam do it for me. I just had to take photos of him. He hiked his pajama pants up so high...it looked funny!
...the coffee and scones I made for the boys
...Jar's desktop. I bought some stuff at Marshall's yesterday to go on the round table in the living room. This little plant was one thing I was looking at to buy, but then I found something else I liked better. Somehow I forgot to put this little plant back on the shelf, so Jar decided it would look good on his desk.
On Tuesday, I cleaned all of these shelves in Jar's room and organized them better.
...Mom gave me this bookcase that she had at her house. She is in the process of moving and has to get rid of some stuff, so she gave this to me...as I told her I would love to have it someday. It is special to me because Grandpa Berguson made it for Mom. I am very sentimental when it comes to my grandparents/parents things. This means a lot to me. Grandpa Berguson was a wonderful man that was taken from us way too soon. I was 15 years old when he died...it was a shock to us all, and we have really missed him. I only have one grandparent left alive (my other grandpa died when I was just six years old and my one grandma died 11 1/2 years ago. She was my best friend)...so these things especially now mean so much to me. I also have my other grandpa's high school class ring...my grandma gave that to me before she died. She also gave me one of her rings, which is coincidentally my birthstone (a Sapphire...which is called a lapus lazuli in the Bible) I don't have anything from my other grandma...although I have asked her for one of her smaller quilts. I decided to put the bookcase for now in Cam's room because he needed some storage for his books.
...I was able to get Cam's room straightened up now since he does not have books all over the floor
...I picked some of my hydrangeas in the back yard and added them to my birthday flower arrangement
...Jar and I mowed the yard and pulled weeds. It looks so good.
Other happenings around here:
