Life Lately

Here is a lot of what has been going on around here lately. We have been very busy...especially with projects around the house.

• Michael and Cam were both working late, so I made Jar and I dinner (look at the difference in proportions:) Mine is also on a smaller plate

• I made this for myself for dinner one night

• Cam brought me home a flower from work

• After I get the towels out of the dryer, Lily gets all comfy on them

• We went to Ikea to pick up the office furniture; Cam and I liked this kitchen

• Here I am doing my favorite thing ever...organizing (getting everything cleaned out and organized for the new office furniture)

• Starting to put it all into the new furniture

• All done...

• Then I went through all my pens and organized them by color (threw away those that did not work)

• I love ORGANIZED

• Cam brought these blueberries home from college group...they were delicious

• I made banana bread for Father's Day (the three boys devoured it)

• my flowers are blooming...so beautiful

• I got some black licorice

•  I just love the new lateral filing cabinet

• This pizza is delicious

• A stuffed refrigerator for Father's Day (and for teenage boys)

• Our Father's Day gift to Michael (plus another larger gift)

• Jar and I washed the truck (here is where Lily watched)

• While Jar and I washed the truck, Cam practiced putting the tent up by himself, as he was going on a college camping trip.

• I ordered some Peonies (silk) for on the office furniture

• Jar and I wrote up a list for Michael to get at Lowes

• this is a disgusting corn on the bottom of my foot (I am killing it with apple cider vinegar)

•  I weeded out the flower beds and cut some dead flowers

• this pumpkin watched me

• Michael and Jar worked on the fire pit

• I weeded the flower beds while the boys worked on the fire pit. When I got tired, I sat in my lawn chair with this munchkin 

• It was a hot day, so we needed our water

• sometimes you gotta have a break

• Jar and I also trimmed the bushes in the back yard

• I love it when the new Ulta catalogs come out

• We got a new calendar for the fridge...it is much larger

• I made chicken, black bean, corn, and sour cream tacos for dinner

• Jar dug out the root of a bush we had cut down

• Lily has her Christmas long john pajamas on

• I made grilled chicken, bacon, and black bean lettuce wraps for Jar and I for dinner

• I gave Jar a new haircut

• A lady from work brought these home from Japan

• Jar was getting ready to mow the grass, and I was raking the yard. This is where Lily was.

• this is what the corn looks like after I cut off the dead black part (I have no idea how deep this corn goes...I have been doing this and cutting off the dead part for 4 weeks now) It basically looks like the inside of a root of a veggie

• Michael went to the Franklin Graham prayer day at the Capitol Building

• We saved $100.00 at the grocery store with my coupons and such

• here are some of the things we bought for the July 4th weekend

• We went to Red Robin for lunch after church yesterday (Jar and I split a Mexican salad, and Michael and Cam split a burger and fries)

• We went to the AT&T store after lunch (here was Jar in the truck)

• Today was July 4th (we just hung out). Cam worked, Michael did some work work, and then he pressure washed the white fence and Zena's kennel.

Here are some of the other things we had going on around here:

• lots of college algebra (yuk)
• we finished the Harry Potter DVD series
• Michael went to Portland quite a few times
• Michael went out the lunch with a bunch of work colleagues
• youth group and college groups
• a few sunburns
• lots of organizing
• boys are constantly eating...which means I am constantly cooking and fixing food
• a bunch of car/garage/storage craziness
• I made steak, steak fries, corn on the cob, and fondue sauce for Father's Day
• "Girl Meets World" started up again...we love this family show
• Jar and I took Zena for her rabies shot and examination
• the boys and I watched "American Ninja Warriors" and the "Olympic Trials" on TV
• Internet was not working very well; had to buy new router
• Michael brought me home olives from Whole Foods
• lots and lots of yard work
• Michael and Jar built the fire pit (Jar sprained his wrist)
• I did lots and lots and lots of laundry
• I made a Spotify playlist called "fun music" (I stole some of Jar's song ideas from his playlist:)
• I cut Jar's hair
• I paid bills
• I watched a lot of hair and makeup YouTube tutorials

...and of course, many many more things, but this was the bulk of what was done.
