Bargain China

I have never really cared about having expensive fine china. I never registered for my wedding...it just was something that never occurred to us. So, we always just had dollar store dishes.

For a few summers when we lived in PA, Michael worked with a friend at an auction. Sometimes he would come home with some neat stuff. He came home with bikes for the boys, a soccer net for the boys, golf clubs, and many other odds and ends.

One time he worked at a large estate auction, and he brought me home an incomplete set of fine china. I love those dishes. When we have a candlelight dinner at home as a family, I use these dishes. Hey, sometimes it is the small thoughtful things that mean the most.
