I felt like my devotions this morning hit on this very topic...in a different form. My devotions this morning was in Philippians 4:1-5.
Philippians 4:1-5
New King James Version (NKJV)
4 Therefore, my beloved and longed-for brethren, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, beloved.
Be United, Joyful, and in Prayer
2 I implore Euodia and I implore Syntyche to be of the same mind in the Lord. 3 And[a] I urge you also, true companion, help these women who labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the Book of Life.4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!
5 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.
What I took away from this scripture this morning is the importance of dealing kindly with others. Sometimes we get so wrapped up in our lives and the stress that we have that we forget to just be kind to one another. I believe that this is another form of hospitality...outside of having people into your home. I believe that when people see genuine kindness in us they see Christ demonstrated.
Love is tender, love is kind. Definitely agree that kindness is a demonstration of hospitality.
