Things we do for Tradition sake

We all do things for the sake of tradition...there is something comforting and "homey" about traditions. I love traditions a lot.

Here are some of the traditions that we have:
  1. When we go camping--sandwiches and stuffed soft pretzels at the lodge
  2. When we go to the coast--outlet shopping and a restaurant on the water
  3. When we go do testing--the Home shop downtown and milkshakes at the barn
  4. 1st day of School--biscuits and gravy
  5. Last day of School--Italian sodas at the local coffee shop
  6. On Vacation...find the best cafe's and shopping places in town and visit them
  7. Valentine's Day--heart shaped food and candlelight fancy dinner at home
  8. Birthdays--celebrate the whole week long. I make favorite meals and foods for them. I do something special every day for them during their birthday week.
  9. Fall--we take a long drive to see the changing color of the leaves...take lots of pictures. We usually go somewhere for lunch and maybe some shopping.
  10. Thanksgiving--we go to family's house for dinner. I take carrot casserole and raspberry pretzel salad.
  11. Christmas
    1. Shopping at Marshall's, Old Navy, Target, World Market, Michael's, Rue 21, Aeropostale
    2. Auntie Anne's pretzels and Starbucks coffee on shopping day
    3. Pizza Hut pizza on shopping day
    4. Put Christmas tree up the day after Thanksgiving...with hot cocoa and snacks
    5. Drive around and look at Christmas lights
    6. Oatmeal and ice cream for Christmas breakfast
    7. Buy a new ornament for the boys every year
    8. Open one gift on Christmas Eve
    9. Go to Grandma's house for Christmas and have snacks
    10. Take Christmas photos of the boys
