I am trying to learn new ways that I can prepare a lot of food at one time to keep them satisfied and keep me from having to fix food so often. Because we all know how much I love to cook.
Some things I am learning about feeding teenage boys:
- Fix food with oats and rice and beans in them. It will keep them full longer
- Make sure they have some protein with every meal
- Make sure they have healthy fats. This keeps them feeling full longer
- Make lots of food and freeze it, so you have it when you need it
- Make smoothies; they are filling and fast
- They like meat and potatoes
I may not be a teenager, but I'll take meat and potatoes anyday!
