Cam then asked me if my dad was smart. I said that yes he was. He was a lot like Michael in that he knew a lot about a lot of things. We also talked about that fact that most people would probably not know that my dad was smart...he really never acted like he was. (and just to clarify--Michael does not act like a know-it-all, but we have played many games like Millionaire, so I see it more in him) We never knew that my dad had close to 20, if not more than 20, patents with GTE Sylvania, where he worked. We only found this out when he died. He was a skilled electrician and carpenter. At his funeral, we named him Macgyver, because he could fix anything and everything.
I enjoyed talking about this with Cam and thinking about my dad once again; although not a day goes by that I do not think about him in some way.
