Misophonia

I have always struggled with mouth noises and repetitive noises. I never knew that it was a real thing until I heard Kelly Ripa talk about it one day on her show. She described me exactly, only she was talking about herself. It is called misophonia.

Misophonia, literally "hatred of sound", is a neurological disorder in which negative experiences (anger, flight, hatred, disgust) are triggered by specific sounds.[1] The sounds can be loud or soft

     Misophonia
The disorder in which a person experiences excessive anger towards those who smack their food or breathe too heavily.
I feel badly sometimes, but I truly cannot help it. We all have something unusual about us...this is mine.

  1. So now you have officially been diagnosed...with misophonia. Now, I suppose we need to try to find a cure :)
