Homeschool

We have been homeschooling the boys...always. We never intended to homeschool, but when it came time for Cam to go to school, it ended up being our best option. I jumped in with both feet and never looked back.

I love homeschooling. It has had its challenging moments. The part I was most scared about was teaching them to read. But, kids are so smart. Both of the boys learned very quickly. The other stage that scared me was high school. But, it has been just fine. I have needed some help with some subjects, like Chemistry and Algebra II, but Michael has been able to fill in the gaps.

Over the years, we have spent a fair amount of money on homeschooling. I have always wanted to challenge them with all kinds of school work and mind games. We have read a lot of books and done tons of experiments...even dissecting animals. It has been a great ride. I will never regret the choice to homeschool. Next year will be Cam's last year, and Jared will have 4 more years left.

Here is our little homeschooling corner.

  1. It's been a challenge but also provided our boys with a great education, cool experiments, neat adventures and outings, and a perspective of life-long learning.
