Things I've Learned

These are some things I've learned in my many years of life:

• Makeup does make you feel prettier
• You feel better about yourself when you get dressed every day
• Mom is always right
• Time heals a broken heart, even though we don't think so at the time
• Losing a child is really hard, even when it is a miscarriage
• You think about your lost child every day
• Any drink, even water, is better in a fancy glass
• Any food is better on a fancy dish
• Life is much better at the lake
• Camping brings a family closer
• Sleep and Laughter really are the best medicines
• Spending a lot of money does not make you feel better
• Vacations are necessary
• Actually doing something is much easier than sitting around and worrying about doing it
• People can only hurt you if you let them
• We should always have fresh flowers
• Salads are much better when they are finely chopped
• Paint can change anything
• Family is so important
• Being a kid at heart makes life way more fun
• Kindness and a smile goes a long way
• Doing something for someone anonymously is more fun than making it known
• Compliments can change someone's life...compliment one person every day
• Trust your gut instincts...this has saved me many times
• Life is always better on vacation...even when your car or your camper has trouble
• Be with someone that makes you laugh
• Some things are worth investing in
• Nothing is better to give your children than your time
• You only need a few close friends 
• Positive thoughts make for a happier you and a happier everyone else
• Animals make the best friends
• It is OK if things aren't perfect
• We don't have to get all A's
• You never have enough money
• Children are a blessing
• Keeping a journal really helps us remember
• Photos bring the memory to life
• A clean house all of the time takes away from more time with your family
• Love someone according to their love language...even though this is difficult
• God is good all of the time
