Playing with my camera
I got my new phone on Wednesday night...of course, I am most excited about the camera on the phone rather than the phone itself. I played around with some of the features a little bit. It was fun.

Unique Grocery Store Buys
I purchased some unique things at the grocery store today.
Michael's family loves these orange rolls. When I met him, his mom always made these for him. I only get them occasionally, but today I got them for tomorrow's breakfast...to lift up Michael's spirits.

The funny thing is...he did not know that I had purchased them for tomorrow. He called me on the way home, and he told me he had talked to his mom that morning. She told him that she had orange cinnamon rolls...and they reminisced about them. TOO FUNNY!! I can't believe that I bought them the same day that they talked about them. I swear, sometimes I think that Michael and I are twins separated at birth...or telepathic. We read each other's minds all of the time.

My first cell phone
I got my first cell phone on Wednesday night. I have had a pre-paid Walmart tracfone for the past 10 years or so. Cam is driving now and will begin working soon, so we knew that it was time to bite the bullet. I truly cannot believe that this is my first cell phone...of course, Cam is teaching me how to use it. And...he is more than thrilled to have his own cell phone...he is like a little kid at Christmas.
Awesome Photos
Cam took these awesome photos while we were out today. The restaurant that we ate at had this awesome wall.

Jar's 15th Birthday
Well, we celebrated Jar's 15th birthday last night. We ordered Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner--he loves their wings.
We also watched Disney shows, and he opened his cards. I made him cheesecake for dessert.

Michael's Weekend Project
Michael finished a project for me this weekend. I have wanted a TV put out in the garage to use while I do the Elliptical. He did it for me this weekend. It turned out way better than I even thought about. I can't wait to use it tomorrow.
Thank you, Michael!!
Dear Jar
Dear Jar,
Happy Birthday! I cannot believe that you are 15 years old today. Where did the time go?
I remember the day that we found out that we were pregnant with you. We were so thrilled. I had a good pregnancy with you...despite those 3 months of being sick.
I can still picture the day that you were born. My labor and delivery was much better than with Cam. I only labored for 6 hours or so. When you were born, you were a stunned birth. It took the doctor and nurse what seemed like hours to get you breathing and making noises (it was only seconds). That was the best sound ever. You were a big beautiful baby with lots of dark hair. You had a blond streak in your hair like me (which is now a black streak on your blond hair). You were such a beautiful baby that you played a baby girl in our church Christmas program.
You were such a happy baby. You loved your big brother Cam. (although sometimes you did not like him holding your hand all of the time...even though he tried to force you) You smiled and laughed all of the time. You loved to hide things. Sometimes I would find things that I was missing...and I would find them in the strangest of places.
You always loved to be on the go and with people. You were a social bug...and still are. You always hung out with the older kids...because you were with Cam. You loved it when you got to play with the Sparks (whey you were a cubbie) at the Awana games.
I will never forget how determined you were to learn to ride your bike. You learned pretty quickly. You would ride really fast on that bike...falling many times because you weren't quite steady yet.
I tried to teach you to swim, but it was Cam who was successful at this. He taught you in like 5 minutes. You two were always best of buds.
I love that you two boys have each other. You have been best of buds from the time you two were together. I love calling you two "my boys."
You always loved puppies. You were obsessed with them. You were so excited when we got Keesha. You loved her. You were also so excited when we got Keesha #2. But, you were absolutely thrilled when we got Lily...because she was a puppy that would always seem like a puppy. She would only be 6.5 lbs.
I love how you love to get things done immediately (like me). You don't put things off at all. You get it done.
I love to hear you laugh. I also love your smirky smile that you give me. It is so cute.
I love how you love fashion and style. You are so good at picking out clothes. I love how you really care about how you look when you go out (even to get the mail).
I really love it when you call me "mommy..." that really warms my heart.
I pray that you will love God with all of your heart. I pray that you serve him the rest of your life. I know that He has something really special planned for your life...because you are one special young man. You have many gifts...most of them are wrapped around your personality. People love you and are drawn to you.
You are a special part of this family. I love you very much. You make our world a better place.
Happy Birthday. You are the best.
Love,
Mommy
