Quote of the Day

Anyone who knows me knows that I do not like Walmart at all. I thought this ecard was funny!

Five on Friday

This was a good week. The boys and I walked together in the mornings. I really enjoyed that. We had to take Lily to the vet to get her shots. She was very lethargic after that.

Here are my Five on Friday:

O N E:
There was a really cool moth outside our front door.

T W O:
Prince George is so cute. He just celebrated his first birthday.

T H R E E:
We are having sloppy joes for dinner tonight and the rest of the weekend. Yummo!

F O U R:
I have been using fresh rosemary like crazy. I am loving it with chicken. I am eating this pretty much every day.

F I V E:
It is still summer, and yet the top Pinterest posts are fall photos. I wish we could just enjoy the summer season longer. I feel like it just became summer. I am not ready for fall (even though it is my favorite season).

Jar's New Lego

Well, Jar built a new LEGO for a new competition. I just love how it turned out.

Friday's Letters

Dear Jesus:  Thank you for the nice weather today. The boys have a lot of work to do on the car.

Dear Michael:  It is so good for the boys to spend the day with you working on the cars.

Dear Cam:  I really like your cut-off-sleeve shirt you have on while working on the car.

Dear Jar:  You did not sleep good last night...hence, you are pretty cranky today.

Dear Me:  I really enjoyed walking with the boys this week. I really want to keep this up.

Dear Lily:  You were so lethargic yesterday after your shots. I am glad that you are back to normal today.

Dear Zena:  You are in heaven today...being out front with the boys.

Dear Laundry:  I usually take care of you on Friday...but I will do it tomorrow, since the boys are making a mess of clothes today (working on the car).

Dear Friday Night:  We are not sure if we will get a normal family night tonight...as the boys are working on the car.

Dear Saturday:  I am not sure what we will do tomorrow...it depends if we get the cars done today.

Dear Sloppy Joes:  You smell so good. We cannot wait to eat you for dinner.

Dear Mom:  You are coming over today on your day off. We plan to bring the car home today. Cam is excited.

Dear Prince George: You are so cute. You remind me so much of the boys when they were little.

Dear Weather:  We had really weird weather this week. It was nice at the beginning of the week. Then we had thunderstorms and rain and clouds. Now today it is nice again.

Dear Strawberry Lemonade:  Wow! You were delicious.

Dear Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream:  The boys loved this ice cream. They want me to make it every day.

Dear Hawaii:  You are so expensive. We really want to go though. We have to figure this out. There are so many unknowns; it is hard to plan a trip like this with all of these unknowns.

Song of the Week: Let it Go

I know everyone has had it with the Frozen song, Let it Go. I absolutely love Straight No Chaser, so I just had to post this. (sorry it is a proposal, but it is the only official one I could find)

Pinterest Finds

Coconut and strawberries are two things I love. Both of these recipes sound delicious. I am definitely going to make the coconut chocolate bars...so easy and very healthy.

Like Mounds Bars? These Chocolate Coconut Bars are super healthy!!! Paleo and sugar free! Get the recipe for these and more allergy-free treats here!

Project

I have not done any projects around the house in a long time. I just don't have room to put things that I make. I did paint some vases that I had though.

I remember when Michael and I were first married and when the boys were little, I was constantly doing projects...painting this dresser or desk, painting shelves or bookcases, recovering this or that with new fabric. I have not done that in about 12 years or so.
