Throwback Thursday
Today's Throwback Thursday is a day late, but my photos are Father's Day photos. I just love these. The second photo is one of my favorites.
What's on my Nightstand
books, jewelry box, body-brushing brush, everyday jewelry dish, clocks, hand lotion, spray deodorant spray, photo, tanning pads, candle lamp
The Maze Runner Series
The boys are reading The Maze Runner series right now by James Dashner. They love it. When they are finished, I think that I will read it. We are looking forward the the movie when it comes out.
New HGTV Show
Okay...the best show on TV right now is Fixer Upper on HGTV. A M A Z I N G!!!! Last night's episode was unbelievable. I love how their testimony is coming through on the show. Last night they did a house for a missionary couple in Uganda, Africa. They wanted a small cottage in the states-near their family in Texas-for them to be able to stay at when they come home twice a year. It was awesome. I hope that this show continues for a long long time.
I think one of the reasons that I love it so much is that I can really see Michael and I doing something like this for a business. Michael is a visionary and could do a lot of the design and construction, and I am really good at decorating on a budget. It would be so much fun.
Five on Friday
This was such a great week. It was more quiet, as we did not have much going on.
I did a lot of projects around the house, like cleaning all of the window tracks and the sliding door track. I also washed some of the windows.
I did a lot of reading this week as well. The boys completely finished their Geometry (Cam) and Health (Jar). They also did a lot of reading. They are reading The Maze Runner series right now.
Here are my Five on Friday:
O N E:
I made a Goodwill run this week. I had a lot of school textbooks and other books to drop off to them.
T W O:
This week I decided to do the Elliptical instead of weights. I don't know what it is about weights, but I never seem to be able to lose weight when I do them. So, my plan is to build myself up to 1 1/2 hours on the Elliptical every day. I will think about weights after I hopefully lose a good amount of weight.

T H R E E:
We had to buy a new cable modem this week. We had been having trouble with it for the last few months, so we decided to finally get a new one. Cam was very excited, and offered up his services to help Michael install it.
F O U R:
Michael and I are really enjoying watching America's Got Talent together. We laugh so hard sometimes. Sometimes we look at each other and say, "What were they thinking?" Sometimes we are just amazed at their talent. One of our favorite things this year though was the prank that Nick, the host, played on the judges by pretending to be a contestant as a really bad mime.
F I V E:
On Thursday, the boys and I met mom for a few hours. We went to a bookstore, Pier One Imports, Best Buy, Target, and Wendy's (for lunch). We had a great time.
Cam and Jar loved this
We love us a good bookstore
I love round tables...someday I want a round diningroom table
Pier One Imports
Okay, these are too funny!
I love Wendy's frosty's...this is a childhood love and brings back a lot of memories
I love these two characters...they make my day so happy

How I started my Day
This is how I started my day today.
It was an absolutely perfect day outside today. The sun was shining brightly, but there was a slight breeze. I enjoyed having my devotions outside this morning.

Michael's Favorite Snacks
Michael found these snacks a while back, and every once in a while when he wants to celebrate he will get them. I have to admit, even though I only have one or two, the carmelized onion and grogonzola pastry puffs are absolutely delicious. The boys love the firecrackers.
Michael vs. Amy
There are a few areas in which Michael and I are different. For instance, Michael is an extrovert; I am an introvert. Michael loves to be around people; I like solitude at times. Michael likes adventure; I am happy at home.
There is one area that we are really different though. Michael pays attention to detail. He measures everything to a T. I remember when we first started dating, I could not believe that it could take him 4 hours to wash a car...he is still like that. Me--my philosophy is "close enough." I just don't have the patience that he has. I want to get it done...yesterday.
