Life Lately

Life around here lately has been very nice...Cam has had off work for 5 days in a row. We have enjoyed relaxing a bit, while completing some things as well.

On Thursday night, we watched Rambo. Jar always gets in the most interesting positions to watch movies.

Having my devotions...

I finally got around to cleaning out my closet. It really needed to be cleaned out badly.

My finished cleaned out closet...

We finally got to go see the Newsboys in concert...with Hawk Nelson and Ryan Stevenson. It was really awesome. The Newsboys were incredible...with an incredible message...God's Not Dead.

Glimpse of my Weekend

It was a good relaxing weekend. It was Michael's birthday weekend. He went to the junk yard on Saturday morning. He painted the house on Saturday afternoon. Jar cleaned Grandma's car as well. I did laundry and made some more pumpkin bread.

Cam is always bringing home goodies from the deli. On Saturday night, he brought home 3 packs of cinnamon rolls. The three boys will enjoy these.

On Sunday, we went to Sunday School and then took Michael out to Red Lobster for his birthday lunch. He had the all-you-can-eat shrimp fest. The boys split a huge dish, and I had grilled chicken tacos.

On Sunday afternoon, the boys met up with some kids from church to go see the new Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials movie. They had a lot of fun.

The Maze Runner: Scorch Trials (2015) - I saw an early screening of this last week and I thought it was a pretty good movie. I thought the action was great. 2.5 out of 5:

Michael and I rested all afternoon. Here is Lily resting with me.

On Monday, we celebrated Michael's birthday by having his favorite meal...chicken tetrazzini, biscuits, and corn, as well as mock eclair for dessert. We made him cards and got him a nice long sleeve shirt for around the house.

Day Out

Yesterday we went out for the day. We ran some errands first before we met Mom at the mall. We had to pick up some pea gravel for Michael to put around Zena's kennel. Hey, we have to have some fun while we run errands.

We also ran to Walmart, where we picked up some hair products, Magnesium, Fiber One cereal, Wheat Thin crackers, and I picked up some things for myself with my birthday gift card from my Mother-in-law.

We then popped in to Kmart, where I bought two candles...I love this kind.

Then, we went to the mall, where we met Mom. We shopped in American Eagle (the boys found some great stuff, but American Eagle prices are just too much), Christopher & Banks (where I purchased some pants for church and going out--I needed some badly, and I had a couple of coupons), and JC Penney (where I purchased Cam a flannel shirt for $7.00--with a coupon, and I purchased $240.00 worth of shirts for $85.00). I was desperately in need of dressy clothes. I always wear yoga pants and tank tops and t-shirts and sweatshirts at home. I have lots of t-shirts and yoga pants, but not much in the way of dress clothes. It was time to purchase some. I tried to find the best deals I could and use lots of coupons.

Below are some photos of what Jar and I told Cam to do...while I was checking out all my stuff. I think these are hilarious!!

Here is what I got yesterday...I got 11 shirts and sweaters for $85.00. That is basically $7.75 per shirt. That is cheaper than a thrift store. WOW!! I also got 4 pair of really nice pants and jeans for $100.00 (that is also a steal...especially since it is difficult for me to find pants that fit right. And usually I have to pay $12.00 per pant to have them hemmed also. These pants all fit perfectly...length and all)

We then ate lunch in the food court...we had not done that in ages. Michael met us there too. It reminded me of when we first moved here, and we would meet Michael quite often at the food court. It was a lot of fun.

Thank you, boys for helping me to find all of these clothes. You were really helpful and patient.

My Birthday Weekend

It was a nice relaxing weekend for my birthday. Michael got me an iced coffee and a sausage mcmuffin for breakfast. He also let me relax and watch TV shows. The boys made me cards, and they gave me a cute shirt and two scarves. We all watched "The Age of Adeline". We loved it.

The Age of Adeline - A refreshingly uncomplicated fairytale love story with perfect cast.:

The boys and I went shopping and to Baja Fresh to get my free burrito.

We also went to Panera Bread to get iced coffee and get my free danish. I only eat the inside with the cream cheese and give the rest to the boys.

I received some money and gift cards for my birthday, so I purchased a couple of things. I got two purses online, two really cute shirts, and a few other things.

New Products

Cam and I wanted to try the new pumpkin spice latte M&M's. We did not really like them.

Our can opener has not been working very well for quite a while now. I got a new one at Marshall's. I love the retro color.

I got another owl to put on our hutch shelf. I used my birthday money.

I ran out of candles...I found some good ones at Target. The cinnamon leaf one is awesome. It smells exactly like Christmas.

I love Gourmet Collection spices. I picked up some new ones at Marshall's.

I got some pumpkin butter last week. It is so yummy. We had it with some soft bread.

I got some new matte lipstick from Walgreen's. I do not like glossy lipstick at all. My hair gets stuck in it. (the bad thing is that everyone makes glossy lipstick now) When I heard about this matte lipstick, I grabbed it right up...only $5.00.

With some of my birthday money I got a Beavers shirt. I love the baseball sleeve style of shirts.
