Beauty Product: Shower Oil

I have very dry skin and have to keep it very moisturized. I have found that shower oil works really good for me. This is my favorite shower oil.

Favorite socks

I am really picky about socks. Most of the socks that I have bought in the past wear out really quickly. I wear socks all day long during the fall, winter, and spring months, so I need something that will last a long time. I have found that Finish Line online has the best socks. They last forever and are so comfortable.

St. Anne's Christmas Lights

When we lived in Pensacola, we went to St. Anne's Christmas lights. It was so much fun. When we were dating, we had a great time there with Michael's mom and dad. Here are some photos--they are not so great photos because they were taken 25 years ago and at night with a cheap film camera.

Christmas "Want" List

Michael and I do not do a lot for each other for Christmas. We usually just pay attention to the boys and Moms. This year I want something for Christmas. I want a pantry cupboard. I have barely any storage in my kitchen, and I constantly have to dig for dishes and have no room to store food. I also have too much stuff on my counters because I have no storage. I picked one out at Lowe's.

Book: The Virgin Diet

I just finished reading a really great book, The Virgin Diet. Basically, you eliminate the top 7 foods that cause inflammation...food intolerance. The 7 foods are...gluten, soy, dairy, eggs, corn, sugar/artificial sweeteners, and peanuts. I do not have trouble with soy, corn, peanuts, or artificial sweeteners. Eliminating gluten, sugar, eggs, and dairy completely is a little more difficult. Between now and Christmas I plan to loosely eliminate them, but after Christmas, I plan to eliminate completely. It has been proven that if you have inflammation in your body, it is really difficult to lose weight. I plan to do some deep cleansing/detoxing and then try to keep these foods out of my diet. I really hope that I can stick with it. It is so hard when I am constantly making food for 3 big boys in our family.
