Life Lately

Here is what has been going on around here lately...we have all been sick, so it was a lot of time spent at home.
  • I got these for Michael, so he would stop getting a biggie soda every night

  • Jar did some yard work

  • We winterized the camper...the first tarp Michael bought was huge and covered the camper twice (you should have seen us out in the road trying to fold it to take it back)

  • the hydrangeas have changed from a bright blue to this mauve color

  • I got some Christmas pillows at Marshall's

  • working on my schedule and meal list

  • I made grilled cheese and tomato bisque soup for dinner

  • Jar fixed Cam's hair

  • Michael got the Malibu out and winterized it

  • I made a turkey sausage and kale dish

  • guess what Jar is getting ready to do...clean Zena's kennel

  • Cam cleaned his car

  • I decorated the hutch for Christmas (the camper is new...from Target)

  • Michael and Jar put up the outside lights; I put up the Christmas tre

  • I made Jar and I some hot chocolate (he was cold outside)

  • I love how everything looks when it is done (the top of the tree is not done; I ran out of lights)

  • Michael and I got some Starbucks...love the red holiday cups

  • Jar's new electric guitar finally came (it was an early Christmas present)

We are finally all coming out of being sick...both the boys still have a cough though. This week is Cam's birthday week. We have a lot of special things planned for this week. I cannot believe that he is 20 years old this week...where did the time go!

  • I am ready for the Christmas season (I've already been listening to Christmas music)

  • December 6th. Behind today's door you'll find an inspirational picture of how you can decorate your living room this Christmas. Bring out the blankets, light the fireplace (or just a lot of candles), and gather your family and friends for a round of your favourite board game!:

    Life Lately

We have been really busy here lately. Cam has been really busy with school and work, Michael has been crazy busy with work and some projects around the house, Jar has been busy with school and practicing his electric guitar, and I have been busy keeping everybody sane and keeping up with everything needed to run this household.

Here is what has been happening around here lately...

Cam dressed up as a Bakery worker for Halloween...instead of the Deli worker that he is

I ordered these Gluten-free cookies from Vitacost...they are delicious

I have been having 2 fried eggs over guacamole for breakfast

Cam was going to take photos at the park, so I took some photos of him

It is time for Cam to clean his room

Jar loves gluten-free pasta with butter and Parmesan cheese

    I love a beautiful sky

    My Chauffeur

I love this spot by the Library

Packing my "things to do" bag for camping

    Preparing food for camping

    Groceries for camping

When we got home from camping, we cleaned out the camper...because we plan to sell it in the spring. Our house looked like a hoarder house.

Not long after we got home from camping, this was our view from our back yard

After 4 hours of solid cleaning of the mess in the house, this is what I had left

Finally the house is all clean

The boys, Grandma, and I went to the Farmhouse Craft Fair

After the craft fair, we stopped by a cute cafe and got food to go for lunch (the restaurant was very busy) I got a BLT; Cam got mac and cheese with a salad; and Jar got sausage with biscuits and gravy, fried potatoes, and 2 fried eggs.

I started listening to Christmas music...I just can't help myself

I colored and highlighted Jar's hair

Michael left to run an errand...this is where Lily sat waiting for him to come back

Jar's finished hair. I think it looks great. Better yet, he loves it.

The boys and I went shopping...Jar spent his whole time in Guitar Center looking at electric guitars

I spent a lot of time at Marshall's...one of my favorite stores

I picked up Lily a new pair of pajamas

I picked up a few things at Marshall's (I have wanted a silver reindeer and Christmas pillows for a couple of years now)

I picked up some Christmas candles

    Michael, Cam, and I voted

This was Cam's first time voting

I picked up some yummy coffee

Time for school...I have the peppermint bark candle burning, and I made Jar some coffee

I am watching the last game of the World Series tonight. I don't follow baseball...it is not my favorite sport to watch. I decided that I wanted to watch the last game though. Hearing the game reminds me so much of my grandma...she watched every game of baseball that she could. She loved it. It has been really enjoyable to me tonight. I really want the Chicago Cubs to win. (they have not won since 1908)
