September Boxes

The month of my birthday is always great for my boxes...I get a lot of free stuff during my birthday month. I also just signed up for a few boxes for just this month because I got a special deal.

Life Lately

We started school this week. It was a really good week. The system seemed to really work.

We went to Busick Court for Michael's birthday breakfast.

These are the flowers that I got at Trader Joe's last week

I have really been enjoying the lights on the hutch...it feels so festive.

We watched a few movies this week, as well as Girl Meets World and Last Man Standing. Cam worked 3 days and also had a ton of college work to do. Michael and I started a new TV series on Netflix...Limitless. We love it. (too bad that there is only one season)

Michael's Birthday

We celebrated Michael's 45th birthday this past week. Here is the list that he made:

• take an evening walk 
• have steak, lots of it
• unlimited Red Lobster shrimp
• action movie
• country drive in truck with family
• pay if forward at Starbucks drive-through
• blog on a topic
• watch the sun set
• go on a bike ride

Some of the things we will have to do over the next week, because Michael had to do some work on Cam's car, and it also rained this week.

We had steak (not enough for Michael-I will probably make more in the next few weeks). We watched The Matrix (action movie). We will watch the sun set this week and take an evening walk. The boys will probably have to wait til next week to take the bike ride, because of Cam's work schedule. And...we will probably do the country drive next weekend. We will not do Red Lobster...we had too many dinners out lately, and we are going bowling as a family tomorrow...no money left over. We will have to do Red Lobster another time. We also did Baja Fresh one night for dinner (Michael used his free birthday burrito coupon). We also met him at Busick Court for breakfast on his birthday. He also paid for someone's order behind him at Starbucks (pay it forward).

The boys and I made him cards, as we always do, for his birthday. The resounding theme was "how thankful we are to Michael for how hard he works"...and we did not talk to each other about what to write.

We got him a chainsaw attachment for the weedeater, a shirt (with the word 'FARTIST' on it-got it at Oktoberfest), two DVD's (Bourne Ultimatum and Bourne Legacy). He also got a card from his sister Sherry, a card and some money from my mom, and a card and a McDonald's gift card from his mom.

It was a fun week. (sorry, I did not get photos of this week)

Life Lately

We have been pretty busy lately. Here is our life in photos.

• we got a microwave for the house...we have not had one for 10 years

• Jar wanted an fm transmitter for the truck

• Jar needed a haircut

• I made a delicious chicken soup

• I roasted tons of veggies

• We put some mulch down by the arborvitae 

• Michael got the stepping stones put in

• One night the sky was so beautiful

• I got Jar's school all ready

• The boys and I went to Bauman Farms

• The boys and I went to EZ Orchards

• The boys went to Best Buy while I went to Pier One Imports

• We met Mom for some antique shopping and some pizza
