Life Lately

Jar has been back to working out every week.

Cam comes home from work on his lunch hour and plays a video game. It is relaxing to him.

Jar is able to do one hand pull-ups.

I got all of Jar's school pulled for his first day of school on the 8th of September. I cannot believe the summer is over. It was so HOT here that it did not even feel like we had a nice summer.

Getting things put on my calendar to get even more organized...

Here is all of Jar's school work all ready and organized.

Michael and I cleaned out and organized his side of the closet. We are just waiting on his new hangers to come in the mail. They are nice skinny black ones.

Now...I need to clean mine out again.

On Saturday I got caught up on my reading and journaling. It was fun.

Jar and I picked these up this week. Cam recommended them to me. They really do taste like cotton candy.

Our snake wrangler, Cam, had to catch a snake in our yard by Zena's kennel and then release it out in the field away from our house. (the snake is over by the railroad tie)

Here are some photos of the snake...remember I hate snakes.

Glimpse of my Weekend

We had quite a few projects to get done this weekend. Michael and Jar worked on cleaning Zena's kennel, cleaning her new igloo, and putting a new tarp on her kennel. They also built Jar a shelf for his CPU.

These next few photos are from the week before...Jar built Cam's new piano music bookcase.

This is Michael and Jar putting the new tarp on Zena's kennel.

I did lots of laundry, cooking, and cleaning.

On Sunday, our Sunday School classes began again. Cam went to his new College Sunday School Class. There was no Youth Group that night, so we had a nice relaxing afternoon and evening.

Here is a list with photos of 14 other things I would NOT take part in either...

Sr. BBQ for Youth Group

Cam had a Sr. BBQ to send all of the seniors off from youth group. We went to a local park. The boys had a lot of fun (they even got to play volleyball). Michael and I met some of the youth group kids' parents. We had good food and a good time of fellowship. We sang some worship songs, and the pastor gave a good going away message to the kids.

Cam got a new study Bible for a going away gift

22nd Anniversary

We celebrated our 22nd Anniversary on August 21st. It is so hard to believe that we have been married that long.

Michael got me an iced coffee, roses and red swedish fish for our anniversary. We celebrated by going to Red Lobster for dinner, Macy's for shopping, and 2 movies at home for entertainment. It was a lot of fun.

I printed a coupon for a free appetizer...this is what we had

Michael had the ultimate feast

I had a salad with grilled chicken and grilled salmon

One of the movies that we watched was "Still Alice". It was so good.

Jar's Sixteenth Birthday Week

I cannot believe Jar turned 16 years old this week. The time goes by so fast. I remember his birth like it was just yesterday...and now he is ready to begin driving. Crazy!!!

We began his birthday week on Saturday by getting him sausage biscuits and gravy from Dairy Queen.

Then, on Sunday, we had donuts from Roth's.

On Monday, we met Michael at Red Robin for Jar's birthday lunch out.

our Red Robin just moved locations

Jar opened all his cards from relatives. He really enjoyed the big stack he got.

These were a special treat for the boys.

Here is Jar's cake.

On Tuesday, we surprised Jar with the trampoline park with cousins. He had a great time.

I also made some special meals and treats for Jar. I made shrimp fettucine alfredo and cheesecake. We also had pizza and wings the day of his birthday.

One of his last surprises was his new cell phone. He was really surprised...and very excited.
